Transforming Geothermal Energy Operations Through Integrated Innovation
3D TRASAR™ Technology for Geothermal with Flow2Max® is a landmark in geothermal efficiency, integrating real-time monitoring, data intelligence, and automation program control to help address the industry’s long-standing challenges of scaling and flow variability, improving reservoir sustainability while reducing maintenance costs.

The technology system’s combined capabilities are designed to enable geothermal operators to:
• Conduct online monitoring of mass flow rate and enthalpy of two-phase (liquid and vapor) flow with precision Flow2Max®.
• Predict and inhibit asset scaling using Ecolab’s advanced 3D TRASAR™ Technology for Geothermal.
• Integrate field data and digital analytics via ECOLAB3D™ for data-driven actionable decision-making and long-term efficiency.
• Support reservoir sustainability with precise chemical dosing and process control.

“Through this collaboration with Pertamina Geothermal Energy, we are setting a new performance benchmark for geothermal energy,” said Evan Jayawijayanto, President Director of Ecolab International Indonesia. “3D TRASAR™ Technology for Geothermal with Flow2Max® can enable our customers in the geothermal industry to operate smarter, safer, and more sustainably by using actionable data to protect their assets.”

Panel Discussion 3DT with Flow2Max

As Indonesia pursues its target of generating 25% of its total energy mix from renewable sources by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 — according to the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR, November 2022), geothermal energy is expected to play a leading role. This offering realizes this vision by supporting geothermal asset operation at their highest efficiency, with a reduced environmental footprint.

Ecolab and PGE’s cooperation reinforce a shared commitment to ESG-driven innovation, supporting cleaner, more efficient energy generation that advances both economic and environmental goals. The collaboration between Ecolab International Indonesia and Pertamina Geothermal Energy follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2024, focused on developing, manufacturing, and globally implementing Flow2Max® technology.
